THE NIGHT

This is something I wrote a few months ago...................

So calm and tender,
her silent symphony;
Of the blowing wind caressing
the leaves on the trees.

So beautiful and endless,
The grey-black tinted sky;
She spreads her translucent veil
over the ground and passersby.

The stars; hidden by darkness,
The moon, suddenly shy;
The wind moves erratically,
She lets out a quiet sigh.

A hint of cold air,
the fresh smell of rain;
brought to us with pure love,
to free us of pain.

The wind gains velocity,
It increases in force;
It brushes against my face
removing all traces morose.

A shiver runs down my spine,
The night’s like a lover;
It gently seduces me,
My blood rushes with fervour.

The sensuous cajoling,
Of the night touches my soul;
Even with its pitch darkness,
It promises light- future gold.

The night gently envelops me,
In its intoxicating embrace;
My eyes then surrender,
And I drift off to an unreal place.

My Real Dream World

There exists a place so humble, yet supreme,
where relationships form the basis of life,
where greed is overruled by love,
where we weave our lives with our own choice of thread.

There exists a place, so abstract, yet real,
where nobody has to live by rules,
where anything is treated as 'something',
where we can govern whoever we are.

There exists a place, so beautiful and serene,
where we can breathe life into imagination,
where we can create the mythical,
and thoughts can crystallize.

There exists a place so mystical, yet known,
where our hearts lend us sight and vision,
where our minds and souls are bound as one,
where magic and fantasy reign.

There exists a place so simple, yet complicated,
where emotions empower the individual,
where fear and sorrow are non-entities,
where we know it all without knowing it all.

There exists a place so surreal and pure,
a place where dreams are reality,
where happiness is entwined with destiny,
where we control the future.............

CHANGES

I thought that things would never change,
But I was wrong and never knew;
That’s why it shocked me, to realize,
That I had changed along with them too.

The changes come in every size,
Irrespective of time or us,
They can’t be ignored or made to stop,
Of no effect is fuss.

Every little change makes me grow more,
In every aspect of life,
Along with which grows my experience,
Like a daily sharpened knife.

Changes are life’s hurdles,
The ones we have to overcome,
In order for us to achieve success,
To become what we want to become.

Some may call changes bothersome,
While others; a big pity,
But I am proud that I truly know,
They are what make me ‘me’.

For my classmates and close firends.....

WE’VE HAD OUR TIMES

We’ve had our times,
Of the fights and the tears,
We’ve had our times,
Of troubles and fears;

We’ve had our times,
Of the laughter and smiles,
We’ve had our times,
Of experimenting with new styles;

We’ve had our times,
Of anger and hurt,
We’ve had our times,
Of being distant and curt;

We’ve had our times,
Of embarrassment and regrets,
We’ve had our times,
Of winning and losing bets;

We’ve had our times,
Of being misunderstood and mistrusted,
We’ve had our times,
Of giving explanations and being busted;

We’ve had our times,
Of sheer frustration and despair,
We’ve had our times,
Of submission to prayer;

We’ve had our times,
Of faults and disillusion,
We’ve had our times,
Of tests and seclusion;

We’ve had our times,
Of changes both great and small,
We’ve had our times,
Of understanding nothing at all;

We’ve had our times,
Of sudden headaches and stomach upsets,
We’ve had our times,
Of great upheavals and big threats;

We’ve had our times,
Of being mean and rude,
We’ve had our times,
Of sitting in a corner to brood;

We’ve had our times,
Of playing silly pranks,
We’ve had our times,
Of being bold and frank;

We’ve had our times,
Of boredom and irritation,
We’ve had our times,
Of plots and instigation;

We’ve had our times,
Of promises juvenile,
We’ve had our times
Of acting senile.

We’ve had our times,
Of memorizing phone numbers
We’ve had our times,
Of nights with no slumber.

We’ve had our times,
Of gossiping and whispers,
We’ve had our times,
Of considering each other sisters;

We’ve had our times,
Of sharing dreams for the future,
We’ve had our times,
Of being confused and unsure;

We’ve had our times,
And we’ll have them forever,
They’re sweet memories,Of the past; forgotten never.
